LATEST IN CHILDREN'S DINING & LUNCH BOXES
When it comes to kids products, for eating and drinking inside and outside of the home, not only do you look for durability, but the ease of use- easy to clean- and no leaks!
The latest range of Smash Kids Dining Range is out now at Woolworths, and it ticks all the above- and it is is available in both girls & boys colours/ranges.
Items you can expect to find are: Bamboo plates & bowls, Bento boxes, Curly Straw Tumblers, Hydro Sipper, and quick lock no leak drink bottles!
I also thought I would share some of my fave lunch box fillers, as once it hits the back end of the year it is easy to get overwhelmed about what else to put in their lunch box/es when they are getting bored!
- Homemade muesli bars
- Sandwich and fruit skewers
- Savoury (veg) and sweet Muffins
- Rice Cakes
- Bliss balls
- Trail Mix (popcorn, choc or carob bites, dried fruit, seeds, yoghurt drops, seeds)
- Pin Wheels
- Deli Meats
- Cold Pasta
- Rice Salad
- Mini Pizzas
- Arancini Balls
- Roll your sandwich instead of cutting
One of my favourite features is an inbuilt ice brick to keep the food cold in the no leak, easy to use Bento Box!
I have some great freezable lunch box fillers and I usually make these once a fortnight; and they are freezable. Simply pop in the lunch box and will defrost by morning tea!
Here are two of my faves!
Banana Muffins/Cake (one of my recipes)
- Combine 1/2 cup Caster sugar and 1/2 cup softened butter in an electric mixer
- Mash 2 bananas and mix in 1 whole egg
- Add the 2 mashed bananas and egg mix, 2 teaspoon of cinnamon, a pinch of salt to the sugar and butter mix and mix together until well combined.
- Add in 1 cup of self raising flour and combine well
- Stir through some desiccated coconut and a handful of raspberries and or choc chips
Pop all in a well sprayed loaf tin or muffin trays and bake for 30 min on 180 degrees (less time for muffins)
When at home, a lunch/dinner that works a treat for our family is mini grazing platters which I like to have ready as soon as they are home from school. It is literally a combination of anything I have in the house (pantry). Crackers, fruits, cheeses, deli or cold meats, dried fruit, dips, veggie sticks and of course a little treat which is usually a chocolate of some sort! Grab out a throw blanket, and pop on the floor (indoor picnic style) and have a little fun at meal times!
And last but not least, a smoothie always goes down a treat here especially in this hot water weather we are stating to have, and works well in our Curly Straw Tumbler. My go to recipe is as per below:
I use our Nutri bullet, and in the biggest cup attachment I add:
2 frozen bananas
3/4 cup of frozen or fresh berries
1/4 Cup frozen Pink Dragon Fruit
1 teaspoon of Cacoa
3 to 4 Dates
About a cup of milk (Add more to make a thinner smoothie)
Blend until super smooth!
Overall we love Smash products, and they are a regular known brand and item we have in our home.
This has been Collaboration project with @Smashenterprises. All photography and content creation related to this project are my own, and I only endorse brands and products I love to work with. I work with SMASH on regular campaigns as an ambassador of the brand. I will always put the products supplied to me to review to test, I will share my results, favourite features and key benefits, as well as any cons.
